Our Story

The crazies behind the scenes whose goal is to just try their best every day. We believe in the power of family and the joy of play. The story of Perky’s begins with a simple idea: to create a family centered space where everyone can thrive.

As parents to busy kids ourselves, we understand the desire to give our kids every opportunity to play, explore, and learn- and in the same breath- we also know that sometimes WE need an opportunity to do something we can enjoy as well. Inspired by our own family experiences (and the all too familiar stressful and rushed coffee date) we decided to embark on a journey to bring a destination for parents and caregivers to our community. Perky’s Play Café (Perky’s being a combination of our daughter’s names: Berklee and Parker) came to life and there has been no looking back.

We understand the challenges that come with raising children in today's busy world which is why we've created a space that's not only fun and engaging but also supportive and inclusive. Our space is designed with both kids and parents in mind. From cozy nooks for story time to play structures for our busiest bodies, there's something for everyone to enjoy. And don't worry – we've strategically placed the café so you can get yourself a cuppa or some snacks and still be accessible to those who need you most. Whether you're a first-time parent navigating the uncertainties of babyhood or a seasoned pro looking for a new adventure, you'll find whatever you’re looking for at Perky’s.
